Vintage Abstract Expressionist watercolor painting by New York artist Gene Hutner (1921-1990). W/C on paper, presented matted in a minimalist black frame. Gene Hutner earned his MFA at Columbia University. He studied extensively with Hans Hofmann (1880-1966) throughout the 1940s and 1950s along w/ Red Grooms, Robert De Niro Sr., and Frank Stella. Hutner was a founder & lifelong member of Gallery 84 and Abingdon Square Painters.
